Role and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for the design of the following types of projects:

 

·         Create technical packaging artwork and CADs based on design material from marketing department and brand managers

·         Engineer packaging and ensure packaging fits product

·         Ensure quality standards are maintained and meets compliance

·         Work with overseas printers for press sample and production packaging approval

·         Responsible for overall form and function of packaging including fit, quality and structural design to perform at retail level

·         Maintain well organized files and press samples

·         Work with marketing and brand managers to ensure all packaging requirements and standards are maintained

·         Manage and coordinate daily job duties

·         Ability to solve technical production and quality problems

·         Knowledge and experience of design and production requirements with all printing formats and printing processes

·         Project management skills – productivity, timelines and handling multiple projects

·         Attention to detail and accuracy

·         Ability to organize one’s own work

·         Work well independently and as a team player

Requirements

·         1 – 3  years direct/related packaging and print experience

·         Degree or diploma in a packaging and or graphic arts program

·         Computer skills – Proficient on Mac

·         Strong technical knowledge of the following software applications: 

§  Adobe CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign)

§  Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
